Oil Crisis in the US and around the world

Posted on April 12, 2011

We have made ourselves so dependent on foreign oil that it has the potential to cripple life as we know it in America.  With all of its derivatives: rubber, plastics, fabrics, Hair products and so many others we fail to realize.  Gas prices continue to soar and further tighten its grip on our lives that it’s hard to imagine life without it. Everything we depend on to make life comfortable is affected by it.  However, there is something we can do to loosen its grip.  Very simply, cut back on its usage. Sounds easy right!  The only draw back is getting everyone on the same page. One of the most effective ways is to ration our mileage, eliminate unnecessary trips and when possible, car pool.  There should be at lease one day of the week made a national day to not buy gas and oil. A literal don’t buy gas day.  As we look ahead, you don’t have to be a rocket scientist to see where we are going to be in the very near future.

Share your thoughts and or ways to loosen its grip. Thanks, Howie Mack
